下酒的空间设计希望营造一种“清爽干净的烟火气”。这就像一杯精心调制的酒饮，看似矛盾的味道随着品尝的深入一层层的展现出来。

The spatial design of Xiajiu hopes to create a refreshing atmosphere of lively hustle and bustle. It is meant to be akin to a meticulously assembled beverage, its seemingly contradictory tones are revealed layer by layer as you sip it.

第一层是简单直接的材料使用方式：所有的形体统一用条形瓷砖包裹。材料即空间，材料也即材料本身。

The first layer is an unostentatious, straightforward way of using materials: all shapes are uniformly wrapped in strip tiles. Besides their tangible consistency, materials are what space is made of.

第二层是形状完整的白色门头。巨大的白色门头既是门头也是屋顶；既是一面招展的旗帜，也是一顶完整的保护伞。大尺寸的图形标识则象旗帜上的图腾一般，吸引人们在下班之后来到这个安全放松的庇护所。

A further layer adds up in in the shape of an imposingly shaped white door that also acts as a roof and looks like a giant fluttering flag or a sizeable canopy. A large-sized graphic logo comes close to a totemic figure on a flag, appealing to patrons to flock into this cozy, relaxing shelter on their way home from work.

第三层是以吧台为核心，如同心圆般层层展开的客座和外摆区。所有的事件从吧台出发，又聚焦于一处。来到这里的每一桌客人会感到身处“同一场晚会”之中。

Finally, a third layer consists of guest seats and the outdoor seating area spreading out in concentric circles with a bar at its core. All motions start from the bar and aim towards an external focus point. Every table of guests who come here will feel like they are joining in the “same party”.

三层“风味”最终融合成“下班之后喝一杯”的放松感。而材料的坚固性带来的安全感，客区温暖的和包浆似的光泽弥散的烧烤气氛，以及明暗变化的光线形成了空间体验持久的尾韵。

We crafted a special experience with these layers of “flavor” in mind, they overlap and eventually merge into a soothing atmosphere especially suited to the needs of social hours and nightcaps. The reliable firmness of the materials confers the space with a sense of reliability, the warm and patina-like hues and barbecue vibes of the guest area, along with the playful variations of light and shade provide patrons with a lingering “aftertaste”.

这个空间在白天会变身为一家阳光充足的咖啡厅。在阳光下，几千片瓷砖的精确对位和专为这家店设计的桌椅家具的优雅细节开始展现出来。同一个场所，褪尽烟火气，却也能成为收拾心情，静思正念的一片竹林。

This space doubles as a brightly-lit café’ during daytime. Under sunlight, the precise alignment of thousands of tiles and the elegant details of the tables and chairs designed specifically for this store begin to show. The same place, once the barbecue’s aroma is vanished, can also be quiet as a bamboo thicket, an ideal spot for patrons to declutter their mind and meditate.
